It's a beautifully made product, but the shape is not what my ears need for sleeping next to a snorer. The medium size was too large for my ears. The small fit into the ear canal but not without a tremendous amount of struggle to squeeze in the red bulb. I had hoped that the flower-petal type of flange would not protrude too much, so that resting on a pillow would not push the ear plug too deep. Alas, the flange was a bit too long and rigid. The better alternative for me is one of those triple-mushroom-shaped ear plugs with the long stem; I just cut the stem shorter, but I have to be very accurate as to its length. I hope this helps people looking for the right ear plug for themselves.

these work, they're comfortable and reusable. rinse, dry and put back in the little bottle. (they also work for skeet and trap, if that's your thing)

These earplugs work so well that I can't sleep without them! I've ordered the extra small pair for a decade and take them with me any time I need to sleep or concentrate. They are small, soft, and block out noise--a must-have for light sleepers. No more annoying foam ones that don't stay in all night! Plus, the cute little container is a bonus.

I tried three earplugs before buying Silent Ear. I was skeptical that they would work better than plain foam earplugs, but I was pleasantly surprised. My need was hearing protection in an extremely loud (111 to 118 decibel) MRI machine. Silent Ear worked VERY well to reduce noise! I'd had an MRI in the same machine a few weeks before using Silent Ear plugs, so I was able to objectively compare the difference. Highly recommended!

No kidding, I bought my first pair in 2012 to reduce terrible neighbor noise while I slept. I still have the same pair from that purchase and use them every single night. As far as effectiveness, I believe they are the best earplugs on the market for regular noise reduction. And they well worth the money to try because if they work for you, if you keep them clean (which is ridiculously easy), and you keep track of them, they will last you for the long haul. I'm back on the site 10 years later to grab a backup "just in case" and to grab a set for my spouse.

Thanks my go to plug for gigs, really any situation where it gets loud. I tell folks its like having your own "clicker" when you want to "tone it down" a bit. Great fit and with the clear flange, not real noticeable, all in the plus column! Don,t leave home without em!

These work really well to block low frequency noises like bass.

These ear plugs are great. Easily portable and effective. I keep them on my keychain so that I always have them in case situations get too loud Granted I have to buy a different set with a better metal case and use that to carry them around. They're also subtle so I can wear them in everyday situations to bring the volume down and most people never notice (busy offices, loud movies, noisy shows, etc.)

I was really hoping these would work out, but they aren't large enough for my ear canals and let in too much noise. I tried to insert them a bit deeper in case that was the problem but then they put pressure on the ear drum. I ended up going back to a foam pair on the test ride as these just didn't work and were letting in far too much road noise.

These are great! Not only are they reusable, but they are well made and sturdy for repeated use. I ordered the average size which turned out to be too big for me. I ended up losing one so I'm going to reorder the smaller ones.

I have used these for years for lawn mowing and they work very well. They block the noise well and are relatively comfortable and have lasted a long time. However, the key is getting the right size. When I originally ordered years ago, the trial pack came in three sizes - small, medium, and large. The small size is what was best for me as my ear openings are on the small size. I couldn't even get the large in my ears at all and the medium would go in but were painful and eventually would work their way out of my ear.. I recently mislaid my original pair, so went to order a replacement. I discovered that they now evidently only come in small and average sizes. Fortunately for me, the small is still the same size as it was, but I think the reason some reviewers say they don't work well for them is they can't get ones that are large enough for their ears. So, if you have large ear openings, you probably need to look elsewhere. If your ear openings are small or average, these should work well for you.

I have used these ear plugs for years and they are the best at blocking out traffic noise as well as dogs barking.

These plugs seem sturdy and well made, so I don't doubt it will last long. However, it doesn't seem to match the rating of 32, I have a pair of foam plugs rated at the same but they feel quieter so I am not sure. Maybe the larger size would provide a better seal, but I wouldn't know because they don't make large. Basically disappointed..

I have used these in the past and just purchased an extra pair to use when cutting the lawn, using the gas blower and for doing other outside work. Great product, well made, long lasting and effective.

I loved these ear plugs, and used my previous ones all the time. I panicked when I lost them, and quickly ordered some more. I use them when at church, as the music is way-too-loud., and around home where I have to put up with squeaking sparrows all day long.

I am older, and go to the gym and the music volume is so loud it turns my spiritual exercise workout into hell. I need ear plugs to block this out lower, so does not interfere my mental experience of exercising. This product was not usable at all for this---i was disappointed very much---for what profile said it would do, did not come close to doing that. And then i did more research and got these--that gun shooters use and they are excellent- SureFire-Defenders-Filtered-Earplugs-Reusable

These little earplugs saved my sanity and my life. I can pop them in easily and quickly and no one knows I'm wearing them. They help me focus on projects immediately vs wasting time "getting into it". I use them for studying, doing research, writing letters/reports etc., - i even use them at parties that are just too darn loud. I carry a pair in my purse; keep one at my desk; and have 2 back-ups at home just in case. I've also slept with them and do great - no waking up mid-stream. Great product - won't be without them.

Got these for my husband in nursing home with very inconsiderate roommate who never turned off his TV. The staff promised to help insert them, and would keep them on the med cart. Unfortunately, within 24 hours, one was missing, and the other was on the floor. They work, but too bad the staff didn't follow through. A little expensive to re-order!

These ear plugs work like no others. I thought I wasn`t sleeping well because I`m well into my 50`s. That`s what everyone told me was the reason. After using these ear plugs , I realized that wasn`t it. I sleep soooo well. Tried other ear plugs---useless. These are the best ever.

They didn't work for me at all. I could hear everything. I may have the wrong size. Will be returning them.

I have been using these for several months now, and am afraid to try to sleep without them, they are that good! I am a very light sleeper, but I have been sleeping so well since I started using these. I get total noise blockage and I can sleep on my side without any discomfort. I have and will recommend them.

Sorry, I'm sure these are great for work or non sleeping activity. BUT not good at all if you sleep on your side. The large size didn't block out all residual sound either unless they were jammed into my skull.

I am a light sleeper and cannot go off into dream land without these trusty earplugs. I've been wearing them over 8 years. When they break down I order more.

I've been using these ear plugs for the past 6 years, and they have served me extremely well. I sleep with them every night and have not lost them. I am a light sleeper and we live in a condominium, my room is right by the kitchen and my family works shift work so everyone is always up at different times. I only have purchased again as a security measure because I think 6 years is a pretty lucky streak for me.

Although these plugs fit well and felt comfortable, they only gave me minimal sound reduction.

These earplugs are so uncomfortable they are impossible to sleep in. I would not recommend these.

I've been using my original pair for about 5 years. They are still quite functional, but I ordered 2 replacement pair just in case I lose the originals. I'm a Sporting Clays shooter and shoot at least twice a week. After every use, I simply wash them with hand soap and warm water. Let them sit overnight to air dry and put them back the handy carry bottle. I wish these were furnished in a corded model. That would be great.

I have been using SilentEar Earplugs for years. They are the best earplugs I have ever used, and I have used earplugs all my life. I can wear them all day comfortably, and it is so easy to clean them. I made a "necklace" of nylon mason's twine for the plastic case; I hang it around my neck at work.

I have been using ear plugs for years to block my husband's snoring. These are the best ones I have found. They fit nicely and are comfortable. They also wash up nicely and last a long time.

I use these when skeet shooting as well as in the field. The ear plugs work very well and are easy to insert and remove.

I have tried many, many different kinds of earplugs for different purposes, and was especially intrigued by these because of their high NRR rating and unique design. The plugs are also very durable and well-designed. I purchased both the small and average size for a comparison, and expectation that one of the two sizes would fit. However, like others rating this product, they are simply unusable because the 'average' size is too small. Mind you, I am a small person (5'7" male), and when I wear earbuds, the medium size fits well, and I never use the large size. Try as I might, I cannot get a seal with these earplugs that will last more than a couple of seconds. I have followed the instructions, have tried various things to seat the plugs properly, and nothing seems to work. I'm quite certain that if there were a larger size, more customers would be satisfied and the rating for this product would be higher. I'm sure they work very well for those who find a proper fit. I am not one of those persons.

The "Average" size is too small and I have average sized ears. Looks like they don't have a large size, so that leaves a lot of people out.

The silent really works for me. I have been using this product for a couple of years. My Wife snores and the silent ear lets me sleep with no problems waking up into the middle of the night.

These are wonderful. I've been using them for years: for exams, to study, to sleep. My ears are tiny and the smalls fit perfectly. I've tried many other earplugs and they hurt my ear canal after a couple hours of use, but not these ones. The people complaining clearly haven't figured out how to use them properly.

This earplug is probably a good product but I sure couldn't use it because their largest size they come is in "average." "Average" is tiny tiny and so I found nothing "average" about this size. I am sorry, but they really do need to reconsider how they size up ear canals.

I could not get these in my ear properly. I have very small ear canals, apparently, because almost every ear plug and ear piece (ie on a headset) is too big. I ordered the small size. Did not work for me. When I called Ear Plug Store to return them, the rep I spoke with said that the fit also depends on whether your ear canal is flat or round. She said that my canal is probably flat....I guess the Silent Ear plugs fit in round ear canals, not flat ones. Bummer for me.

Bought these and the quiet ones for my son who developed a hearing sensitivity about a year ago. He can't go to movies anymore, school functions and assemblies where a sound system is used or a DJ. We tried a few earplugs but he never liked the comfort. Was hoping these would be our answer but they didn't fit well. Maybe he's picky but his band teacher gave him these little yellow ones by EAR classic and he seems ok with those.

These are actually pretty comfortable, not sure why people are complaining, and they block out a fair amount of noise. Even better if your pairing them with sound proof muffs. A word of advice to people that go completely by reviews... Careful not to take all reviews overly-serious due to the fact that there are both human and AI trolls that sabotage product reviews on top of ACTUAL people complaining.

I think these are pretty good. I got the large size, and found they had the best seal when inserted part way as opposed to other designs which you have to push in as far as you can. I found that the flexible, smooth design has low contact pressure and the least irritation to my ear canals, and is great to wear at night.

I was prepared to be impressed, but these aren't the ear plugs of my dreams. These hurt my ears and they barely muffle noise. I insert these as far as they will go, but they do nothing. These are too costly to be worth so little. I will keep looking, because these aren't the best choice for sleeping or studying. I like their design and appearance, but they ultimately fail to perform the job. Ugh, I will have to return to rolling pieces of foam again.

Everyone's ears and ear canals are unique. I bought these a couple of years ago when they were offered in small, medium and large sizes. I bought all three sizes in the hopes that I would find something that worked better than my favorite and much cheaper Conic-Fit earplugs (24 NRR). I was disappointed to find that they did not work as well. For me, the small size was a waste of money, as they fall out if I tilt my head. The medium fit okay in one ear but was loose in the other. The large was a decent fit and I should have just gotten those. I have put 170k miles on my motorcycle over the past 6 years using my Conic Fit earplugs. With the SilentEar plugs (size large) I could not ride at my normal speed (~80 mph) because the wind noise was too much to bear, even under a fullface helmet. I highly recommend getting a variety pack of different earplugs to try out, and do not rely on the NRR rating to compare earplugs. For me, a mushroom-shaped earplug seems to have the most sound reduction.

These are the best ear plugs I have tried. They are easy to sleep in and the only thing I wish is that they were available in different colors. The small ones are extremely small and slip out during the night but the average ones fit perfectly for me and I'm a woman.

These earbuds are easy to travel with, easy to use, and easy to reuse, but they just don't block enough noise. I use them because they do have an effect and they're all I have with me at the moment, but they should make some that have some adjustability (mostly pre-sized with a little bit of fill). That would help a lot, I think.

I have very narrow ear canals and the smalls were too large. It's a shame because I'm sure they would've been great at keeping out noise.

Love these plugs and have been using them for several years now (keep losing them!). They do take a bit of work to get in, good fit and they eliminate the harsh damaging frequencies. To insert, I push them in with my index finger while repeatedly pulling down on my ear lobe with my thumb and middle finger. 3-4 seconds and good to go. My use is exclusively freeway speeds on my motorcycles and much higher speed as a track day instructor. Easy to wash and use over and over.

I got these after searching for a high decibel noise reduction ear plugs. I was wary because they are rated 32 and I have some disposables that are 33 but the difference between these and the disposables is that they do not lose their noise reduction. They work great and will definitely recommend them to people who wear earplugs nightly.

I got both sizes and neither of them block any sound. Not only that, but they are pretty uncomfortable.

These plugs do work well in blocking unwanted sounds while I sleep. Unfortunately, I have sensitive ear canals that are prone to wax build up. The next morning after my first use both ears were aching slightly and both were blocked up. it may be me or partly the plugs.

Great plugs - maximum decibel protection, great comfort and fit, very durable and discreet. They last about a year with moderate use - can't ask for better Than that! Highly recommended!

I buy a pair of these every couple of years. Great plugs and protection! The last time I bought them from you, you no longer carried the large size so I got a set of average. They are too small and the nipples grind into my ear when I push them in far enough to get a good seal. I am ready for another pair and stopped by to see if you had large now, but see that you do not. I guess I'll have to buy my earplugs elsewhere.

I had high hopes for these things. I really have to say that i'm not impressed with them. They are about the same as the 3M disposables that I use daily (and don't have to pay for). Next product.....

I had high hopes that these would be the pinnacle of ear protection. They are dreadful. I tried them once and they didn't block fit. I got the largest size available and they still let in tons of sounds. Still searching for the ultimate earplugs.

Not as good as expected. The good quality tapered foam ear plugs give better protection, noticeably better protection. It needs to be the top quality foam, not something that's soft and spongy. The only plus for these ear plugs is they last longer

I got the trial pack and even the "average" size was too small. Apparently I have huge ear canals. Who knew? It didn't really seal, and it was perhaps too long, since it hit the back of my ear canal and hurt. Sometimes I managed to create a seal, but it lasted like a second before popping out. It's too bad. I was really looking forward to ear plugs I could wash and reuse. Maybe make an even bigger size for apparent ear-giants like me?

Horrible!! I used them on my motorcycle. They made my ears hurt after 2 miles, so, I threw them in the ditch. They did no better than my foam types at noise reduction.

These earplugs are great with regard to sound attenuation. My only possible complaint is they have no relief valving provision for atmospheric pressure changes, and since I use sound protection while flying unpressurized helicopters, I have to manually attend to removing and reinserting them with altitude changes.

Although still a little big for my ear, the SilentEar plugs blocked out more of my sweetie's snoring than any other plug. After trying a pair, I liked them so much I ordered three more. Thanks for helping me sleep!

I needed earplugs for an MRI. I used these, in addition to the earphones provided by the MRI place, which had music. I heard very little of the jackhammer noise, and all in all had a very relaxing experience.

These earplugs are the worst ever. I could hear everything even when my back was turned to the person speaking to me. I applied the product as instructed and it doesn't block the sound, just barely muffles it. I don't understand the 5 stars on here. I've been using foam plugs for a several years ~~ just not thrilled about there ability to reduce noise. Silent ear are the bomb! highly recommend.

I've tried a lot of different ear plugs over the years, and these are some of the best. I use them for going clubbing, sleeping, and riding my motorcycle. I like the clear flange that makes them blend in so people can't tell you're wearing them. I have really sensitive hearing, better than normal hearing, so loud sounds are too much for me, especially clubs with loud music. The only downside is that I am a size in between the two sizes available. I can wear the small ones while sleeping and they stay in but don't completely block out noise because of gaps (which is ok because it is enough), as well as at clubs where I still want to hear some music coming in (and what is also neat is these plugs can rest in my ears without being fully inside and stay in my ears while dancing!) But if I want to cut out the most noise, I have to use the bigger ones and they are too big, causing my ears to hurt after 20-30 minutes. I ride my motorcycle with the big ones to block out as much noise as possible, and I'm just hoping my ears stretch out a bit over time (so far no). If there was an in between size, I would buy a bunch. The "Howard Leight Quiet Reusable Ear Plugs (NRR 26) " average size ear plugs are also great and fit perfectly. I had been using those ones for years and still do, but switch based upon on much noise I need to block out or comfort needed.

Great product! probably some of the best I have ever used. I am a hunter and a student, and the plugs work great for both.

I returned this product because of the discomfort I had while sleeping. I bought the small size, so the problem was not that I purchased the wrong size. The best feature of this product is that they are rigid enough to be pushed into the ear without having to be rolled first. I bought them because they were supposed to be durable and reusable; which I'm sure they are. They would work well if you were not trying to sleep with them, but comfort is so important during sleep time, and these didn't pass my test.

I order the small size and they were still too big. I am adult female. They did not give any and my ears hurt every morning, even changing positions. Foam are just better.

Dissatisfied. Unfortunatelty I was still able to hear snoring, even the quieter snoring. In addition, my ears hurt after 3 hrs in and being woken up by the snoring.

I am disappointed that I didnt see the trial pack to purchase and instead I paid for 2 pairs individually. I would have liked the seller to noticed that and notified me of a more economical way to purchase. Other than that, the plugs are certainly easier to insert than foam ones and also feel comfy in my ear. I was disappointed with the level of noise I could still hear. The neighbours barking dogs still sounded very loud while I was trying to get to sleep. Anyway it was worth a go.

Doesn't fit in to my ear.. I had similar ones before and I was not satisfied with them also.. Could be good to have dfferent sizes in one package.. Some might have different pair of ears like I do..

5 stars I bought for dove season and gave two to friends. We were all very impressed with the noise reduction and more pleased that we didn't have to remove the plugs due to "itchy" ears. Great product.

They don't do much for blocking out noise. Had to go back to the squishy cheap foam ones. They work much better. Overall, dissappointed.

NRR32 is doubtful, but excellent for shotgun shooting. Comfortable, no pain even prolonged use, so suitable for sleeping too.

These work fine. People who report that they don't work either do not have the correct size and/or don't know how to put them in--or they want an isolation chamber. These take the ambient level down quite a bit. I would wear these on a long motorcycle trip.

These ear plugs do not work. I tried them on to do yard work and there was no noticeable noise reduction. I am a long range shooter and wear quality ear muffs when shooting and know what level of noise reduction is occuring.

I bought these to use on the motorcycle while wearing a half helmet. I think they are awesome. Very comfortable, block the wind noise and I can still hear the radio and my passneger when she says something. I would highly recommend them!

I am deployed to Afghanistan and my roommate snores loud throughout the night. I have gotten so much better sleep since I have used these earplugs. Also, they stay in my ear throughout the night and are comfortable.

It did not fit my ear properly and let in the noise I was trying to keep out. It tried a different size and still did not work.

very comfortable and effective. i have small ears, so it is not always easy for me to get the air out and get the good insertion, but once I do it they are great.

Because the plug does not allow for air trapped in your Ear to escape, it has cause pain while inserted. I spent a lot of money and I wish I hadn't. Other ear plugs do the trick and are somewhat "breathable"

I just ordered these the other day and came in the mail quickly. Do pay for the trial pack as fit matters. I like the small much better as they seat into my canal better. Doing that makes the flanges more comfortable for sleep and I do not find the flanges trouble me that much when sleeping on my side. With the plugs in, I cannot hear my wife talking to me..... Great product for night shift worker !!

I use these ear plugs to study, to focus at work, and to read on airplanes. They really help me focus when there is a lot of background noise. I have 5 pairs scattered between work, home, car, and travel bags. They work great for me.

I wish they still carried the large as the mediums do not fit me. These are the best ear plugs if they come in the size you need.

I use ear plugs for motorcycle riding. I have a problem with the ear plugs sliding out of my ear sometimes during use. I've tried many brands of plugs and decide to give these a try. They do not work for me. I ordered the medium size and can seat them properly however they do not block all the noise. Maybe a size large would work for me but that size is not offered. My rating is based on my personal experience with these plugs. They stay in place, just don't cancel all the noise.

I can sleep again! These earplugs really do work. After searching for years for something that will stifle the sound of my husband's incessant snoring, I have found my salvation! Worth every single penny. They feel a little odd at first, but the odd sensation is worth the silence it brings! They do get a little sweaty, but again, it's worth it to finally sleep again!

I tried both the small and regular size (trial pack) and they don't seem to reduce noise like the Moldex Pura Fit or the E-A-R GRANDE (or PLUS). It is probably a matter of not fitting in my ear properly. They are comfortable to wear though but if your window faces a 6 lane busy street these guys will probably not reduce the noise enough at nighttime.

I bought them to use for sleeping but since I'm a side sleeper, the soft "flanges" are bothersome. I have to make sure it's spread out and won't poke but even as I shift and adjust my head the flanges end up poking me again. I will still make use of these for motorcycle riding, but they definitely aren't comfortable enough for me while sleeping on my side. The small size is pretty small, and barely fits but once I get it in snugly then it seems to be okay. I might try going up a size to see if that stays in better though. It cancels noise just as well as the ones I buy from Walgreens with the added benefit of being more durable/reusable, so saving money in the long run. Overall a good product with minor disappointment.

I'm a Locomotive Engineer so these get a lot of use. I go thru about 3-4 pairs a year - wear isn't an issue at all. They also do a great job of suppressing noise - much like the $150 custom fit plugs I own.

My husband will not sleep without them! Out of all the earplugs he's tried, this one is the best. He wears the large. Would highly recommend to others. They are well made. The only reason I have to re-order them is because he leaves them out so the cat ends up batting them around only to be found months later in some odd place. ;-)

I am on my fourth pair, they don't last more than a year but they are well worth it. I use them every night, and for travel.

I got all 3 sizes in a set and found the small ones seemed to fit my left ear, but were obviously too loose in my right ear. After going to the middle size in my right ear, I figured out that the left ear wasn't really sealing and I could hear a lot through it. With medium size in both ears, I tried sleeping with them, but the feeling of pressure just kept building and 30 minutes later I gave up. The design just doesn't allow for much variability in size to fit right, like the way foam earplugs adjust to take up the space. I use these ear plugs when I go shotgun shooting. Average fit me perfectly and take just a few seconds to put in. Love them.

One of the better ear plugs that is easy to install and actually fits my small ears. I lost my original pair years ago: accidentally left them on the bedside stand at a hotel. Suggest anyone keep them in a larger container that's easy to see and hard to lose. Sound is not totally blocked with these earplugs, but they are much better than most.

I know some people will find them uncomfortable. I like them because they are easy to insert, reduces noise quite well, easy to clean, and convenient when ear muffs are impracticable to carry around. Must choose the correct size for best performance.

Definitely the quietest plugs I've used. Those squishy foam ones were terrible and I never felt they seated correctly. The SilentEar plugs fit great, were comfortable wearing all day and just feel cleaner. I will definitely be getting these again!

Work great, I use them for trap and when I put them in all sound goes away.

These are better than anything I have used because: They insert and remove very easily. They don't get dirty easily but are cleaned easily. They don't require thorough cleaning to restore resilience like foam plugs do.

You really can't go wrong with these ear plugs. I ordered the trial package and was convinced. I sleep so much batter. All through the night. And they are comfortable.

I work nights in a Data center, and find these earplugs convenient, and comfortable. They also are great at noise reduction. They make our 2.5 MW generator sound like an over sized vacuum. They pop in and out with ease, something you can't say about most earplugs. since I work nights, I also usually wear these to bed to block out background noise. On occasion they do create pressure on my eardrums, but a simple 5 second tug & hold on the back of my ear often releases the pressure. My suggestions for best comfort is to align the flanges between your tragus and anti-tragus ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tragus_(ear) ), and don't moisten the plugs it just worsens pressure on the eardrum.

Excellent for the motorcycle!!! Can hear traffic in town just fine....but cuts down wind noise, (and protects ears...noise level and otherwise), on the highway or open road. Plus come in handy case to keep them together and just attach to your bike somewhere. At first they were roughing up my ears but have learned to just wet the ends a tad with your mouth before inserting and this allows you to put in and take out several times a day without roughing up your ear canals. Nice bright orange makes them hard to leave behind when removed, but almost invisible when inserted. I had to go for the smalls and my ears are generally regular to small so keep this in mind when ordering. If you think you might need the small....you probably do.

I'm still on my trial pack after a few months. They're honestly the best value ear plugs. Chris

I bought the trial pack with 3 different sizes; none of them worked for me. They don't block as much noise as foam plugs, and they are uncomfortable.

Very comfortable, with great noise reduction. Continues to work well after repeated useage. Used at sporting events as well as concerts and had no discomfort or ringing in ears afterward. Would recommend to anyone.

I have relatively small ear canals, so the small ones fit me best. I've been carrying these with me in their carrying case for years and I would never go anywhere without them. These are great for reducing the sound of loud guns, wind noise while driving with the windows down, etc. I can just pop them in and out with little effort... something that can't be said for any other ear plug I've tried. They are very easy to clean as well. With the clear flanges they are low profile. I wish the QuietEar version came in a low-profile clear flange model too. (The quietear provides less attenuation but is more appropriate when you have to talk to people.) My Mom has super tiny ear canals, and the smalls were too big for her, but I'm not sure if we've found any ear plugs that fit in her ears.

This are the best earplugs ever. My boyfriend is a musician and creativity as he calls it comes at any time and he needs to put it down. So he plays his guitar at 3am. With these plugs I don't hear him, I can sleep soundly and when I wake up, my ears don't hurt &, I'm not mad at him for making noise. Relationship saver!

Wish they had fit me. I can see where they would be great if they fit. I ordered size small, but they were quite a bit too big (I am a small person; maybe they need to make an extra-small size).

I had very high hopes to get a good nights rest with these. I purchased the small and the medium and the small were just too small and didn't hold well. The mediums do the trick and stay in snugly. They have an air tight suction though that at times can be slightly uncomfortable and need adjusting. I can still hear some through them and was hoping for more of the sound to be drowned out but all in all they do the best job I have come across as of yet.

I tried two differnet sizes and they simply don't work. They're not even close to working as well as foam plugs. I'm sure this post will be rejected. [If any ear plugs, including silentear do not fit properly, they will not work as well as lower rated plugs that do fit well. Wish you had called for an rma. I was having trouble with wind noise caused by turbulence in and around my motorcycle helmet. I have tried cheap hearing protection bought from my local chemist and while they were good they don't compare to these. These plugs suit my ears and fit comfortably under my helmet. They reduce the noise of riding while not diminishing my ability to hear important traffic sounds. The neat little screw cap containers they come in are really handy too. I am so glad I bought them.

This is my 1st pair of quality ear plugs and my hopes were so high. They are too big for my ears, who would've thought it?! When I put them in, they keep shimming out, not matter how much I try. Then the inside of my ear gets annoyed. I also have to keep waking up slightly to adjust them which is against the point of getting a good night's rest. I do love the construction and quality though SO I'm about to order the smaller size and cross my fingers.

I am a very light sleeper who will wake up at the sound of any noise. I live in a lux highrise with windows that are supposenly designed to reduce the noise reduction coming from the nightlife below but it's still a bit noisy. These ear plugs are ABSOLUTELY perfect for light sleepers. It truly blocks out the noise & it's the only way I can sleep. I recommend this for anyone who is a light sleeper or for anyone who needs silence to study.

If you tend to have smaller ear-canals, don't even start with these. (Those with larger ears, disregard my review.) The bulb-shape, as opposed to a tapered shape, meant that I couldn't even begin to get these to seat in my ear. As soon as I felt they were in, they started working their way out. The process of trying to get them back in repeatedly irritated the skin inside my ear. I work on an airport flight-line so I can generally give a good review on noise suppression, but with these I couldn't even get started on that. Good idea with the silicone, and I had high hopes that the clear flange would make it less noticeable that I had them in (the guys at work seem to think that risking deafness is "manly," so I risk teasing with my obsession about protecting my hearing) so I really hope they'll think of making a smaller version that is slightly more tapered. I think the shape of the flange would be safer in kid's ears, too, so there's a market there for a swim version.

I live on a thoroughfare and care hear the street very well. These are fantastic, and I've already ordered a second pair plus a pair for a friend, who also sleeps with ear plugs. Great buy.

To big for my ear. I have used other ear plugs from the ear plug store and loved them!

I purchased my original silentears 5 or 6 years ago before replacing them this month. I noticed they are using an softer product now which makes for improved comfort and helps keep the seal even better. I have had ear muffs, foam plugs, even molded ear inserts and nothing compares to the comfort for people who wear ear protection for long hours.
